This template returns its first argument, after adding a full stop (or its second argument) if the sentence was not finished.

Usage

{{Terminate sentence|The rain in Spain}} → The rain in Spain.
{{Terminate sentence|falls mainly on the plain.}} → falls mainly on the plain.
{{Terminate sentence|BANG|!}} → BANG!
