The Template:+idx marks an entry in the source index of an article that has not yet been provided with page numbers or similar details regarding the occurrence of the article's topic in the associated source. Since most sources are very extensive, the source index only becomes easily usable through such details.
Anyone with access to the source can supplement the source index on the topic. A single entry is sufficient to remove the template. This acknowledges the fact that a final check to ensure that all occurrences are actually listed is extremely time-consuming and can only be guaranteed if one has read through the source in relation to the topic.
All articles marked with +idx can be found via the link list of the template.
